MVS-8(Masahiro) - According to promotional materials MVS-8 is a high grade stainless steel with good edge holding and stain resistance. Mostly used in Japanese knives, although apparently Wilson Combat might've used it as well. Mainly seen in fixed blades of various types. None of what I've seen was cheap either. Hattori knives are expensive as usual, no matter what alloy, but other knives were not budget priced too. Anyway, decent stainless steel, but there are better performers including very widespread Crucible 154CM steel, Takefu VG-10 steel and many others.

Manufacturing Technology - Ingot

Country - Japan(JP)
