Sent the new version today. Can't say Apple makes it easy though. Complicated submission process, plus had to add new screenshots for iphone 5 and so on. All that on top of new features and iphone 5 support. Whatever, now another 2 weeks of waiting for the review and you'll have it.

Busse Hog Muk LE

One more limited edition Busse, Anorexic LE Hog Muk. Small utility knife, very capable at that. Anorexic in Busse terms means extra lean and thin, which for the knife of this size is unquestionably a positive change. Well, fat Busse aficionados may disagree, but that's why there are different knives ;) I'm pretty happy with Nessnuk inspired Hog Muk design and even ordered custom version from Shinichi Watanabe. Good knife, from very reputable maker, details in the detailed review ;)

Two new GOST alloy compositions added: 11x4v2mf3s2 steel wich happens to be nearly identical with Sharon Steel 1095 Cro-Van, and now discontinued R9K10 high speed tool steel. Moved CSN 19830 steel to the correct group, it's similar to AISI M2 tool steel, but missing Cobalt places it in the same group with W-Nr - 1.3343 steel.

Watanabe nessmuk

Finally, after very long time, the knife is complete. Blade made by Shinichi Watanabe, according to my specs, using Aogami 2 steel, and the handle was done by Dave Martel, although I didn't provide any specs for that. So Dave was left with quite a challenge, to create a matching handle for rahter unique blade. I think overall result is just terrific. Pix will be coming soon. The wood used in the handle is Hawaian Signature, and frankly I have never heard of it, but has very intricate looks, ferrule is African Blackwood, which does make a good choice for the ferrule. In short, I've missed PO today, so I have to pick it up tomorrow morning. Can't wait :)

Revised statistics calculations for the steel of the day and top steels for last 7 days sections, specifically, excluded comparison results from top steels sections, since lots of comparisons are hardcoded links either on my site or on many other places on the net, thus alloy being in the comparison doesn't necessarily represent interest in particular one, it can be just part of the pre-made comparison. Working on search history stats, which is quite interesting to me at least, hopefully for steelheads out there too.

USPS delivered it today, and frankly I wasn't even expecting it this week. Who knew :) Well, nice surprise and the knife is even better than I've imagined. Already sharpened on diamond strops, although serious sharpening on whetstones is definitely in order.

Rather rare specimen, and as with some other knives, I've missed the original release, then I've posted on BF, in wanted to buy section, and few weeks later I got an offer. Cool :) Now, wait till it gets here from Canada, hope it won't get stuck in customs, or worse, lost in transit...

And 2 mil. milestone hit this morning. About 11 month since 1 mil. was reached, first mil took two years. Anyway, I'm glad it's working for so many out there and I keep working on improvements.
