T11323(UNS) - High speed tool steel. High wear resistance and high working hardness, about 66HRC. As it's name suggests, it's quite close to AISI M3:1 high speed tool steel, except for more Carbon and Vanadium, both of which are welcome additions to any alloy used in knives. M3:2 has a bit more W and Mo than AISI M4 steel, but less Vanadium, and Carbon. I suppose that'd explain why M4 is more popular, but M3:2 will manage its own, and outdo a lot of other high speed tools, AISI M2 included.
