Narva8D(Akers) - Alloyed tool steel. Working hardness up to 64HRC. Manufacturer states high abrasive resistance and compression strength. At max hardness will do pretty good for light use knives. With just 0.5% Vanadium and 2.5% Molybdenum Narva8D isn't really high wear resistance alloy, not like Crucible CPM 10V or bunch of other high speed steels, but on the other hand it definitely has better wear and stain resistance than plain carbon steels like AISI 10xx series, which are very popular in knives.

Manufacturing Technology - ESR
