K294(Bohler-Uddeholm) - Bohler-Uddeholm PM steel, one more version of AISI A11 tool steel. Made using their 3rd generation PM technology. As Uddeholm states this steel is resulfurized to aid machinability, which isn't that good of the news for the knife folks, as sulfur lowers wear resistance. On the other hand, it has very high wear resistance to begin with and even with small Sulfur addition it will still outwear most of the steels out there.

Manufacturing Technology - PM

Country - Sweden(SE)
