Considered as an equivalent of Crucible CPM 10V steel, although Carbon and Vanadium are present in significantly less quantities, however, unlike CPM 10V, DI90-MP has 2.80-3.50% Wolfram(Tungsten) in it, which is a strong carbide former too, although due to its very high molar mass, actual number os W atoms will be low, and DI90-MP also has about twice as much Silicon in it. Responses are positive, as far as its performance goes, working hardness 64-65HRC. Reports indicate difficulty in processing and sharpening, which is expected with an alloy composition like this.
