X2CrNiMo1712(UNI) - Not really a knife steel. Highly stain resistant mild steel. Shouldn't really ever be used in knives, but unfortunately some cheap knife manufacturers do use it. It's a really mild alloy, not really a carbon steel with just 0.03% C in it. Avoid.
