PS60(Hitachi) - Hitachi steel, very similar to Sandvik 13C26 steel. Exact composition is not published. At least I can't get my hands on it so far, if you have it please do share. As I said above, composition and properties are nearly identical to Sandvik 13C26 steel. Used in Kaneshide Japanese kitchen knives, and they do claim to have been able to achieve higher working hardness 60-61 compared to 13C26 steel using proprietary heat treatment process. Although, I have seen other knives made from various alloys in this group around 62HRC, also in the kitchen knives.

Manufacturing Technology - Ingot

Country - Japan(JP)

Known Aliases:
Hitachi - PS-60
