Picked up Pallas in August, used as EDC for several months, finally got around doing the review. I liked it a lot, mainly because of the very solid construction, superb build quality and a button lock, because I am really tired of the framelocks and I do not think they're all that great, yeah they do the job of locking the knife very well, but there are plenty of other locks not requiring differen left and right handle slabs and still locking the knife very securely and are easy to operate. Button lock is like that. Crucible CPM S35VN stainless steel was also a point of interest. Solid performer, if it was up to me, I'd still have it in 61-62HRC range, but it wasn't :) Well, not all knives are super efficient cutters, and Pallas is more in the hard use folder category, and for that role Pallas does perform well. Details in the link above.

Fixed a bug when Base column was hidden from settings, but contents would still show in the table shifting the content to the right by one cell. Added bunch of new name records and compositions, and more coming.

Added/revised notes on dozens of alloys. Added Erasteel ASPX 818 stainless steel composition. Added Yushu steel composition, although I have no idea who makes it. Grouped together similar alloys, too many to list here.

New version is up. Major performance improvements. Still won't help too much if you load all 6.5K records at once, but for sensible setups it is about a second to load or less. Use settings menu in the chart to set the default standard and it'll be much faster. Please let me know if you see any issues.

Ahonest Changjiang VG-10 Cobalt is Chinese version of the famous Takefu VG-10 Steel. Targeted to be more cost effective than VG-10 at the same time it uses ESR technology, while VG-10 is conventional ingot steel. That should result in a cleaner alloy, which is certainly beneficial. Specs are almost identical.

Finally got around to the review. First I had to wait for the knife for more than a year, I mean from the announcement to order and delivery. Too much for a production knife if you ask me, even for a limited edition knife. Anyway, I got it, have been EDC-ing for 6 months now and I'm quite happy with its performance and overall design. Stabilized lock bar is a very nice addition, even if I do not like framelocks. Details in the review, read on.

Fixed minor issues with keyboard events. Improved keyboard handling, to be more specific both Tab and right arrow key copy selected autosuggest entry into the input box, and automatically add coma after the new entry, plus if Tab key was used for this operation, input focus stays in the edit box, allowing to perform the input w/o mouse use.
