Found it on Spyderco site, but can't find it on Cartech. Can't find a knife made out of it by Spyderco either, may be in the future. High carbon, stainless steel, with 4% of Molybdenum in it.

Every once in a while I get a surprise finding out some steel being in the knives, when it is really unlikely to be used as such. Hot work, plastic mold steel, 52HRC at best, yet there are knives made out of it. Well, being just a knife steel database host, I had to add it. To be specific, it was Toolox 44 steel, German variation, still within the same specs used in knives.

Added several names to Italian UNI steel standard listings, Polish PN and few more to Spanish UNE steel standard listings. Also, updated International Steel Standard Names And Information section as well.

Spyderco Manix 2 CPM S90V steel, Al handle

It's been a while, but I've finally got all the pieces. Handle slabs by John Grimsomo, anodized aluminum. I've made a request for smooth handles and they're smoother than expected, but looks definitely looks different. Well, I can always order a new pair of the handle slabs, they come in numerous patterns and colors from Mr. Grimsomo. He also did reanodizing work for my trusty Benchmade 710 HSSR. Brought a new, fresh looks. Other than that, CPM S90V steel Manix 2, at 61HRC, doesn't really get much better than that, at least as far as that steel is concerned.

For some reason, main record was saying cts-20p, not cp, fixed it. Added few more AFNOR and W-Nr names to the knife steel composition chart.

Fixed very slow query for the steel of the day. Optimized could other areas related to database querying. Page should load in less than a second now, vs. 3-4 seconds before. Fixed bug in top for last 7 days, which was looking only at the last 6 days instead of 7. Still pondering on more stats.

Doug up another doc while researching steels. Luckily contains a lot of French AFNOR steel standard names, which are relatively hard to find, for example I didn't have AFNOR standard names for popular knifemaking alloys like AISI 1070, W1, O7 and few more exitics things like D7 and M36 steel. Overall, about 20 new standard names, plus a few proprietary alloys as well. Total alloy names now well over 4600.

270mm Yoshikane Tamamoku Yanagiba

Yoshikanem Tamamoku yanagiba was a present for my friend, but so far I've had two opportunities to use and sharpen it. Mainly positive impressions, very good looking knife, with relatively high performance compared to many other yanagibas I have used in the past and use it now. Not the top performer, but not the most expensive one either, so one could say somewhat balanced price/performance. Details in the review.

Added bunch of proprietary tool steel names from about a dozen makers. Including All types of tool steels, O series, L, M, and T series alloys. By now database has over 4500 names :)
