Yesterday the graph builder was renamed from shtml to php. At some point I broke redirection, so all the old links to the graph were not properly redirected to the new builder and were displaying empty graphs. Just found it this afternoon, Fixed. Obviously, you should use the new graphsteel.php ;)

Major functionality upgrades this week. Added column manager to the steel composition chart. Column manager is invoked from the chart tool bar, Columns button, or you can also use ALT+C from keyboard, depends on the browser though. From there you can hide/show chart columns. You can also hide column by CTRL+click on the column header. Added result caching for the steel composition analyzer graph.

It was really outdated. Added new information about Carbon V steel, and few other details missing from its initial revision. Also, updated with the latest developments and changes from Cold Steel. Details in the review.

One of the knives I get regularly for maintenance sharpening and such from my friend. Had it several times for testing, etc. Can't find much of a use for it. I keep trying though ;) Details in the review.

AISI 1018 low carbon steel added. I don't think i's is used by itself, but often used in pattern weldd damascus.

This time this is AISI 1085 steel. High carbon pring steel, so far I have confirmed info about at least one custom maker using it. Posting inquiry on knife forums helped to get that info.

AISI 1044 steel. Strange as it is, or may be not, but this relatively low carbon steel is also used in knives, specifically in throwing knives where toughness is more critical and you don't want to spend too much money too.

Phew. That was more complicated than I thought... As usual :) Anyway, client side scripting is up. Testes successfully on MSIE 7 and 8, FF 3.x, Chrome and Kmeleon. Added caching for the main table view, i.e. no query params except sort. Later I'll add server side caching to avoid db queries for static data and cache move chart views.
