Vanax 75(Bohler-Uddeholm) - Vanax 75 is a relatively new Nitrogen PM steel from Bohler-Uddeholm. Not so sure why, but they're quite secretive about it. First Swedish article mentioning Vanax 75 steel is dated back in 2007. Another, Danish article from 2009, describes it as an expensive alloy, similar to AISI 316 steel in terms of stain resistance, but capable of achieving 60HRC and having 5 times more wear resistance, designed for meat cutters. Apparently it is some sort of evolution of their earlier Vanax 35 steel. Kershaw is already working on a knife made of Vanax 75, and several custom makers are tackling it as well. Hopefully soon to composition will be revealed.
Discontinued by Bohler-Uddeholm in favor of the newer Vanax SuperClean steel.
