HM4(Nachi Fujikoshi) - Japanese JIS Standard equivalent of the AISI M4 high sped tool steel. Higher toughness at the same hardness compared to AISI M2 tool steel. Very popular as competition cutting steel of choice. Mainly used in custom knives, however several makers including Benchmade and Spyderco made limited runs of their knives out of Crucible CPM M4.
